What is a PCM and what does it do?

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is your vehicle's main computer. It controls fuel injection, ignition timing, transmission shifting, emissions systems, and more. When your PCM fails, your vehicle may not start, run poorly, or display warning lights.

How do I know if my PCM is bad?

Common symptoms include: check engine light, vehicle won't start, poor fuel economy, transmission shifting problems, engine stalling or misfiring, and multiple error codes.

What does pre-programmed mean?

Pre-programmed means we configure the PCM with your vehicle's specific calibration and VIN before shipping. Simply plug it in and drive - no dealer programming required. This saves $100-300 in fees.

How do I find my PCM part number?

Look at the label on your existing PCM - the part number is on a white sticker (example: 05150722AC). Or provide your VIN and we can look it up.

Do I need to provide my VIN?

Yes, we require your 17-digit VIN to program the PCM correctly for your specific vehicle.

Can I install the PCM myself?

Yes! Installation takes 15-30 minutes with basic hand tools (usually a 10mm socket). Disconnect battery, swap the unit, reconnect and drive.

Will my keys still work?

Yes. We program the security system to accept your existing keys.

What if the PCM doesn't fix my problem?

We offer a 60-day return policy. If the PCM doesn't resolve your issue, return it for a full refund.

Do you require a core return?

No. We do not require you to return your old PCM and there is no core charge.

How long does shipping take?

Orders before 2:00 PM EST ship same day. Standard shipping takes 3-5 business days. Expedited and overnight options available.

What is covered under the Lifetime Warranty?

Our warranty covers any defect in materials or workmanship that causes the PCM to fail under normal use. We'll replace it free of charge.
