1998 Dodge Avenger PCM
FJ Avenger coupe, Mitsubishi-based. 2.0 and 2.5 engines. A lot of these cars have a separate TCM, so a shift complaint may be that box. On the 1998 Dodge Avenger the PCM usually sits engine bay inner fender — passenger side on many early coupes, driver side on the later JS sedan.
The PCM handles the four or V6, idle and throttle, and (when integrated) the automatic’s shift map.
