2006 Charger, 5.7L HEMI V8. First-year LX — police packages and Daytonas were already in the mix. On the 2006 Dodge Charger the PCM usually sits engine bay, driver side, ahead of the strut tower.
It fires eight coils, runs MDS oil solenoids, and (on later trucks and LX cars) an eight-speed or five-speed map. A HEMI that lives in four-cylinder mode is a classic PCM / MDS control failure.
