3.6 Pentastar replaces the 3.5. These are high-volume family crossovers. Failed PCMs show up as a dead throttle or a van that will not shift out of second. On the 2014 Dodge Journey the PCM usually sits engine bay on the driver side, inboard of the battery / fuse box.
It times dual VVT, electronic throttle, and — on 8-speed cars — a large share of the shift map. Pentastar oil-cooler years still need a correct VIN flash after a cooler repair.
