SRT 6.4L and later 6.2L listings use the performance calibration for those engines — paddle maps, tow/haul, the whole SRT file. On the 2016 Dodge Durango the PCM usually sits under the hood on the driver-side inner fender; later WD trucks hide it behind the battery or air box.
It fires eight coils, runs MDS oil solenoids, and (on later trucks and LX cars) an eight-speed or five-speed map. A HEMI that lives in four-cylinder mode is a classic PCM / MDS control failure.
Why a 2016 Durango ends up here
- security no-start
- P0300 after plugs and coils
- cluster blackout plus a no-comm PCM
- tow/haul that will not hold a gear on a grade
