2018 Dodge Charger 5.7L PCM
2018 Charger, 5.7L HEMI V8. LD years on the eight-speed. The 5.7 still has MDS, and the PCM owns more of the shift map than the five-speed cars did. On the 2018 Dodge Charger the PCM usually sits engine bay, driver side, ahead of the strut tower.
It fires eight coils, runs MDS oil solenoids, and (on later trucks and LX cars) an eight-speed or five-speed map. A HEMI that lives in four-cylinder mode is a classic PCM / MDS control failure.
