This ECM is the one for a 1999 Ram Truck running the Cummins diesel. Second-generation Ram. Magnum 5.2/5.9/8.0 V10 gas and 5.9 Cummins 12-valve / 24-valve diesels. OBD-II is in force. Diesel listings that say firewall sit up on the cowl.
On a 1999 Cummins Ram the injection is often still VP44. Check the door-jamb build date if you are on the 2002–2003 edge.
